Private club marina midway down the eastern shore of Lake Montauk, the eastern harbour of Long Island, New York.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Lake Montauk is a sheltered harbour entered from Block Island Sound through an inlet at its north end. The club holds deep-water berths; docking is offered mainly to members and to visitors from reciprocal clubs.
Practical
The marina sits alongside a clubhouse with a 16-room inn, restaurant, lounge, lakefront swimming pool and fitness facilities. Berths take deeper-draught boats on the protected eastern shore.
History
The club was built in 1930 during Carl Fisher's development of Montauk as a resort, and the original clubhouse remains in use.
