Approach and anchoring
Reached by the Washington Channel, which runs behind Hains Point off the Potomac. From the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, follow the river north past Alexandria and the airport, then take the channel split into the Washington Channel. Floating docks with an approach depth of 15 feet and 10 feet dockside.
Practical
125 berths, 20 of them for transients, taking vessels from 20 to 100 feet LOA. Fresh water, pump-out access, and dumpster service included. Shore power billed separately. The nearest fuel berth is at James Creek Marina on the same channel.
Ashore
The Wharf, a waterfront district of shops, restaurants, and music venues, is a few minutes' walk along the channel. The National Mall and central Washington lie within a short distance.
