Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the Potomac River off Hains Point, then up the Washington Channel. The channel above Hains Point is unmarked, with controlling depths near 8 to 11 feet at midchannel. The marina sits in a posted no-wake zone, so transit the channel at slow speed.
Practical
Floating docks with transient and seasonal berths, plus moorings for vessels up to 45 feet. Shore power, fresh water, in-slip pumpout and a fuel berth. Heads with showers, a laundry with four washers and four dryers, a ship store with ice and bait.
Ashore
The Wharf district lines the quay with shops, restaurants and grocers within walking distance of the docks. The Municipal Fish Market sits next to the marina. The Smithsonian museums of the National Mall are about 1 km north on foot.
