Approach and anchoring
About one mile up the Washington Channel from the junction with the Potomac and Anacostia rivers. The channel is unmarked above Hains Point and lies in a no-wake zone. Depth alongside the floating concrete docks exceeds 20 feet, suitable for vessels up to 160 feet.
Practical
A private club that takes a small number of transients when a member berth is free, roughly seven slips, by prior arrangement. Docks carry 30, 50 and 100 amp shore power. Heads with showers, a laundry with five washer and dryer sets, a captain's lounge with galley, a restaurant and bar.
Ashore
The Wharf promenade runs from the club gate with restaurants, grocers and the Municipal Fish Market within walking distance. The National Mall museums are about 1 km north on foot.
