Approach and anchoring
Enter from the Washington Channel north of Hains Point. The site dates from 1913 as the Corinthian Yacht Club, renamed James Creek Marina in 1988. Managed since 2008 by Guest Services, Inc., a National Park Service concessionaire.
Practical
Fuel berth with 89 octane ethanol-free petrol and diesel, plus pump-out. Heads with showers and a modern boat ramp. Transient rate 2 USD per foot per night, shore power from 3 to 10 USD per day depending on amperage. VHF and bookings via 202-554-8844.
Ashore
The Wharf entertainment district sits 0.9 nm north-west with restaurants, music venues and Metro access at Waterfront station. Nationals Park baseball stadium is 1.5 km east across the Anacostia.
