Guide
Approach and anchoring
Do not drop the hook in the signed zone. The ban protects the seabed and underwater cables and is enforced by the maritime prefecture of the Mediterranean. Mud bottom on the approaches, open to all sectors from N through SE to S, no natural shelter.
Practical
Nearest port for a stop is Port du Grau d'Agde 1.3 NM SE, at the mouth of the Hérault, with visitor berths, fuel and services. Tamarissière on the opposite bank of the river also at 1.3 NM SE for a short call.
Ashore
Long sand beach of Vias Plage runs along the shore, accessible from Le Grau d'Agde by the coast road. Cap d'Agde resort and Fort de Brescou offshore are within a short drive from the neighbouring port.
