Approach and anchoring
Tidal range among the largest in Europe, over 12 m at springs. Enter at half flood with a reliable chart, the archipelago dries over a wide area at low water. Sand holding, shelter on most headings except the northern sector.
Ashore
Landing by tender on Grande Île, the only inhabited island of Chausey. A signposted loop walks around the island in about 2 hours, passing the lighthouse, the Fort and Port Marie. Hérel marina in Granville is the closest all-tide refuge, 9.8 NM east.
