Open roadstead on the Normandy west coast exposed to the strong tidal range of the Gulf of Saint-Malo, tidal range over 12 m on spring tides. Approach at high water given the very large drying shore. VHF 9. No shelter from easterly winds.
Practical
15 mooring buoys with water on site. Closest refuge is Hérel marina in Granville 9.3 NM east, accessible through the lock at HW. Port Picain 10.8 NM south.
