Approach on a rising tide, sand bottom, holding good. The cove is protected from W through S to SE winds and exposed to the N and NE. Local tidal range exceeds 10 m on springs, the foreshore dries extensively. Stay clear of the rocky edges at the northern and southern points of the cove.
