Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west between Le Four lighthouse and Roc'h Avel. Sand bottom, watch for drying rocks south of the beach. Exposed to northerly swell rolling in from the Iroise. Sheltered from W, E, SW, S and SE winds.
Practical
Fair-weather anchorage only. No facilities on site. Shops and bakery in Ploudalmézeau village 3 km inland. Nearest shelter is Tremazen 1.6 nm SW.
Ashore
Tréompan beach runs 1 km of fine sand backed by dunes. GR34 coastal path along the shore toward Portsall 4 km north, passing the Amoco Cadiz anchor memorial.
