Guide

Approach and anchoring

Entrance from the north-west between Petit Pot de Beurre and the buoys of Le Libenter, best taken two hours either side of high water. The channel is marked by lateral buoys up to Saint-Pabu. Strong tidal streams on ebb and flood. VHF 9 for the local harbour master. Fully enclosed mooring, sheltered on all points of the compass once inside. Mud bottom.

Practical

Buoys are laid by the community of Saint-Pabu, fresh water at the slipway. Chantier des Abers at 0.3 NM NW handles lift-out, repairs and winter storage. Saint-Pabu village and its bakery at 0.6 NM NW of the moorings.

Ashore

Oyster farms line both shores of the aber and sell directly from the cabins at low water. GR 34 coastal path crosses the river on the road bridge and continues towards the Aber Wrac'h. Dunes of Sainte-Marguerite and Corn ar Gazel beach at 2 km from Saint-Pabu across the peninsula.
