Approach and anchoring
Enter the Aber Benoît from the west between Le Trépied and Petite Fourche cardinal marks, then follow the buoyed channel upriver for about 3 nautical miles. Strong tidal stream in the channel, up to 3 knots at springs. Moorings lie off the village of Saint-Pabu on the north bank.
Practical
Visitor moorings on buoys managed by the local nautical centre. Most boats dry out or take the ground at low water. Chantier des Abers yard 0.4 nm south at Landéda for haul-out and repairs. Bakery and small grocery in the village at 400 m.
Ashore
Sentier des douaniers GR 34 passes through the village, walk west along the aber to the dunes of Corn ar Gazel at 2 km. Oyster farms along the river banks, direct sales at several producers. Plage de Corn ar Gazel facing Île Vierge lighthouse at 3 km on foot.
