Approach and anchoring
Enter the Aber Wrac'h channel from the west, follow the buoyed fairway past Île Vrac'h. Sand bottom. Open to S and SW, use only in northerly weather. Aberwrac'h marina lies 1.3 NM SE, Perroz pool 1.7 NM E.
Practical
Visitor moorings on buoys, pay at Aberwrac'h harbour office. No services on site. Dinghy to Aberwrac'h for fuel, water and shops.
Ashore
Footpath along the north bank of the aber towards Lilia and the Phare de l'Île Vierge, tallest stone lighthouse in Europe at 82.5 m, about 4 km east by coast path.
Story
The Aber Wrac'h was a regular ocean race landfall for the Falmouth to La Rochelle and Fastnet fleets in the 1970s and 1980s.
