Approach and anchoring
Open to the Iroise sea on the western coast of Finistère. Exposed to westerly winds and Atlantic swell. Rocky seabed with drying rocks along the shore. Coastal pilotage required, local knowledge useful.
Practical
Moorings used mainly by local small craft. No marina services. Village of Landunvez inland for basic shops. The fishing port of Argenton lies about 2 nautical miles south.
Ashore
Coastal path GR34, the sentier des douaniers, runs along the shore past Tremazen. Chapel of Saint-Samson at Landunvez, a Breton chapel with a calvary. The Aber Ildut estuary opens a few miles north, one of the shorter abers of the coast.
