Access via the Canal latéral à la Marne, Freycinet gauge, maximum draught 1.80 m. Junction with the Canal de l'Aisne a la Marne 2.4 nautical miles east at Conde-sur-Marne. VNF lock hours. No tidal constraint.
Practical
Free quay mooring along the canal. No water or electricity on the quay. Bakery and small grocery in the village, 300 m from the canal. Nearest supermarket at Ay, 4 km west.
Ashore
Laurent-Perrier champagne house headquartered in the village, visits by appointment. Ay vineyards 4 km west, Grand Cru classification. Marked footpaths through the Premier Cru slopes above Bouzy and Ambonnay, 3 to 5 km south.
History
Tours-sur-Marne merged with Louvois in 2016 to form the commune of Val de Livre. The Laurent-Perrier champagne house was founded in the village in 1812.
