Guide
Approach and anchoring
Open approach from the main body of the lake. Bottom of rock and mud, holding variable over rocky patches. Protection from NW, W and SW. Exposed to easterly breeze that builds in the afternoon over the reservoir.
Practical
No shore facilities at the anchorage itself. Port de Bois Vieux lies 1.2 NM SW, Port de Chanteloube 1.3 NM NE for water, fuel and berths.
Ashore
Short walks along the lake shore near the Glaisoles stream outflow. Chanteloube bell tower, the half-submerged steeple of the drowned village of Rousset, visible across the lake from the anchorage.
