Approach and anchoring

Enter the bay from the main lake body heading NE, the chapelle Saint-Michel on its islet marks the entrance. Lake level drops sharply in August and September, use the marked channel. VHF 14.

Practical

202 berths, the largest marina of the lake. Fuel station on site. Base de nautisme et de plein air 0.2 NM to the NW offers dinghy sailing and watersports. Port de Chanteloube 1.2 NM to the SW for overflow.

Ashore

Chapelle Saint-Michel sits on a small islet 300 m from the port, the former hilltop chapel of the drowned village of Prunieres now surrounded by water when the lake is full. Plage de Chanteloube with supervised swimming in summer is 1 km along the shore. Village of Chorges 4 km inland with full shops and SNCF station.
