Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward by day only, rock bottom calls for careful placement of the anchor in a sand patch. Cove shelters from all wind sectors listed in local crowd data, but swell can refract inside. Drop in 3 to 5 metres and check the set by snorkelling.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no services at the spot itself. Port de la Baie Saint-Michel and the Base de nautisme et de plein air are both 0.5 nautical miles to the north-east and cover water, slipping and small-craft facilities.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral of the Giens peninsula runs above the cove, part of the national coastal path system. The salt pans of Hyères, a classified Natura 2000 area for wading birds, lie on the isthmus roughly 2 kilometres inland.
