Approach and anchoring
Entered from Lake Michigan through the Ludington breakwater channel into Pere Marquette Lake. The basin sits in a no-wake zone. Call ahead or hail on VHF channel 9, as transient space depends on availability.
Practical
Rental berths and storage, geared mainly to smaller power and fishing boats. Toilets, picnic area, a fish-cleaning station and a freezer for the catch. A 12 ft wide, 700 ft long boardwalk runs around the marina. Parking sits at or near the berths.
Ashore
Downtown Ludington shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Stearns Park beach on Lake Michigan is about 1.5 km north, with the Ludington North Breakwater Light at the end of its pier.
