Guide

Approach and anchoring

The harbour entrance is reached between breakwater piers, with the United States Coast Guard station on the north side of the channel. The anchorage lies immediately off the entrance and offers no shelter from the west, so it suits a settled forecast or a short wait for the marina.

Practical

An anchorage with no facilities. Ludington Municipal Marina is 0.3 miles to the east inside the harbour, with 174 berths and water about seven feet deep at its entrance. Harbor View Marina lies 0.5 miles east. Both marinas run from 15 April to 15 October.
