Approach and anchoring

Reached from Lake Michigan through the Ludington breakwater channel into Pere Marquette Lake, then to the north shore by Waterfront Park. Reservations open after 15 April on 231-843-9611.

Practical

About 174 berths on floating and fixed piers, plus broadside dockage, taking docks from 9 to 18 metres and side-tie boats up to 38 metres. There are 88 transient berths, stays limited to 14 days. Water, shore power, toilets, showers, laundry, ice, a fish-cleaning station and a dog run. Fuel dock with petrol and diesel, plus pump-out.

Ashore

Downtown Ludington and Waterfront Park adjoin the marina. Stearns Park beach on Lake Michigan and the Ludington North Breakwater Light, an 1924 steel pierhead tower, are about 1.5 km away.
