Approach and anchoring
The Shark River is entered from the Atlantic through Shark River Inlet at Belmar, with a charted depth of about 12 feet at low water and strong tidal currents. The Ocean Avenue bascule bridge gives 15 feet of closed clearance and opens on demand on VHF 13.
Practical
155 berths including 12 transient berths, on floating pontoons for boats 18 to 40 feet, with water and 30 and 50 amp shore power throughout. Restrooms, showers, laundry, a travel lift and a 24-hour automated launch ramp. No fuelling is permitted on marina property.
