Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Atlantic through the Shark River Inlet at Belmar, a channel of about 150 feet between jetties. Inlet depth runs near 12 feet at low water but shoals further upriver. Two opening bridges sit between the inlet and the club: the Ocean Avenue bascule bridge and the Route 35 highway bridge.

Practical

The 170 berths carry dockside water, cable and 30 and 50 amp shore power. There is a fuel berth, and restrooms and a laundry are open around the clock. Shops and restaurants lie within walking distance.

Ashore

Belmar Manutti Marina is 0.5 nautical mile to the south-east and Shark River Marina 0.3 mile to the north. The ocean beaches and boardwalk at Belmar are a short walk from the river.
