Approach and anchoring
On the Tchefuncte River, a short run from Lake Pontchartrain. The pontoons are recent, with finger pontoons on selected berths. Short-term leases and transient berths are offered.
Practical
Water and shore power at every berth. Daily rate around 1 USD per foot, monthly around 9 USD per foot. The marina is part of the Louisiana Certified Clean Marina programme.
Ashore
Several restaurants, a grocery and a hardware shop are within walking distance on Main Street. The marina takes its name from the former Heisser sawmill that stood on the river.
