Approach and anchoring

Reached from Lake Pontchartrain through Bayou Castine, west of Mandeville harbour. The lake is shallow throughout, with 12 to 14 ft over most of its area. Sailing yachts bound east or west on the lake must allow for the 15 ft fixed clearance of the Causeway bridges.

Practical

Berths sit alongside several neighbouring marinas on the bayou. The marina mainly serves sailing yachts. Mandeville's lakefront and shops are a short walk away.
