Approach and anchoring
On the Tchefuncte River just off Lake Pontchartrain. Around 100 berths on covered and floating pontoons, with about 5 set aside for visitors. Dockside depth runs to roughly 3.6 metres.
Practical
30 amp shore power, fresh water, ice, snacks and toilets. Dry storage available. A useful stop for Great Loop cruisers heading along the Gulf coast.
Story
The Krewe of Tchefuncte boat parade, a floating Mardi Gras procession on the river, sets off from in front of the marina each carnival season.
