Approach and anchoring
Access via the buoyed Chenal de Saint-Vivien, about 2 nm from its mouth on the main Gironde channel to the port. Practicable from HW minus 2 to HW plus 1 for yachts of 1.5 m draught. Channel dries at low water. Keep strictly between the lateral marks, banks are mud.
Practical
Pontoons managed by the local nautical association, about 60 berths including a few visitor spaces. Water on the pontoon, electricity limited. No diesel on site, nearest fuel at Port Médoc in Le Verdon, 14 km by road.
Ashore
Village of Saint-Vivien-de-Médoc 800 m from the port, bakery, grocery, pharmacy and a Sunday morning market. Médoc vineyards start 2 km inland. Atlantic beach of Montalivet 14 km by road on the ocean side of the peninsula.
