Approach and anchoring
Approach through the main pass of Toulon, then head southwest along the southern shore of the Petite Rade. The entrance is sheltered by the peninsula from the mistral. Maximum draught 2.5 m. VHF 9. Keep clear of the military zone on the south side of the peninsula.
Practical
790 berths across several pontoons, one of the larger marinas on the Var coast. Water and shore power. Port Pin Rolland, a major refit yard, lies 0.8 NM to the west, and Le Lazaret at 1.1 NM in the same direction.
Ashore
Village of Saint-Mandrier is next to the harbour, with shops and a ferry link to Toulon crossing in 20 minutes. Coastal path of the peninsula leads west to the Creux Saint-Georges beach at 1 km and the Cap Cépet lighthouse area. Naval cemetery of Saint-Mandrier on the heights, with graves of sailors from both world wars.
