Approach and anchoring
Lies at the head of Oyster Bay, off Long Island Sound. Deep-water guest moorings are available, with a ship-to-shore launch service. Guest moorings cost about 75 dollars per night and 55 dollars per day. Phone 516 922 0555.
Practical
The club runs a junior and summer sailing programme and has a bar and restaurant. Takeaway lunch and dinner are served Wednesday and Friday to Sunday in season. The club is closed Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. It has operated since 1944.
Ashore
Oyster Bay village, with shops and restaurants, is a short walk from the waterfront. Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, Theodore Roosevelt's home, is about 3 km northeast on Cove Neck.
