Approach and anchoring
Reached by Otter Creek, navigable for about 7 miles from Lake Champlain. The creek is shallow and narrow with hazards, so motor up slowly. The Macdonough Park dock has the most length and lies closest to town.
Practical
First-come, first-served berths with eight power outlets and six water connections. Maximum stay 48 hours. No fuel on the dock. Maximum draught about 5 metres at the berths.
Ashore
Downtown Vergennes is a short walk away, with shops and restaurants among 19th-century commercial buildings. The Otter Creek falls drop over a ledge by the Main Street bridge, with walking paths and picnic areas along the bank.
