Approach and anchoring

Approach from the Gulf of Calvi keeping an offing from the rocky point. Drop in 5 to 10 metres on sand, checking that the anchor holds clear of the posidonia patches. Mooring on posidonia is prohibited under Corsican regulation for most pleasure craft. Open to the west and NW, untenable under libeccio.

Practical

No services on site. Calvi marina at 2.7 NM NE for fuel, water, electricity and all provisioning. Port Eugène Ceccaldi at 6.6 NM NE offers an alternative if Calvi is full.

Ashore

The shoreline backs onto the Réserve naturelle de Scandola further north and the Pointe de la Revellata lighthouse, 2 NM north of the anchorage. Calvi citadel, built by the Genoese from the 13th century onward, dominates the north side of the gulf.
