Approach and anchoring
Sheltered from S, SW and W winds. Open to the N and NE and to swell from the English Channel. Strong tidal streams run in the Paimpol chenal, up to 3 knots at springs. Watch the drying rocks along the Plouezec shore and check the tide before closing the coast.
Practical
Mouillage forain on sand. No mooring buoys, no services. Port Lazo slipway lies 0.5 NM west. Paimpol marina, behind its lock gate, is 4 NM west and gives access to all services.
Ashore
The GR 34 customs path runs along the clifftop above Porz Lazo and leads north to the Pointe de Minard and south to the Pointe de Bilfot in under an hour. Small beach of sand and shingle at low water.
