Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west, clear of dangers in deep water. Round the Capo Rosso headland wide to avoid the wind acceleration under the cliffs. Sand and rock bottom, holding variable on the rocky patches. About 50 boats can swing inside the bay. Shelter from N, NE, E and NW. Fully exposed to the W and SW swell.
Practical
No facilities ashore. Nearest refuges are Cargèse 4.5 nm south and Porto-Ota 6.3 nm north-east. Leave in good time if the wind backs into the west.
Ashore
Long sand beach at the head of the bay, backed by maquis. Coastal path towards the Capo Rosso Genoese tower, about 2 hours walk on foot from the beach. Small seasonal beach restaurant in summer, no shops.
