Drying harbour of 430 berths at Larmor-Baden in the western Golfe du Morbihan, opposite the Île aux Moines and the Île de Berder.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach through the Golfe du Morbihan from the Port-Navalo entrance, then wind north of Berder. Maximum draught at the pontoons is 1 m so entry is tide dependent. Strong tidal streams run in the narrows between Berder and Larmor-Baden at mid tide. VHF 9.
Practical
430 berths managed by the commune, mostly for resident boats, a few visitor berths on the outer pontoon. Water and shore power. Capitainerie with showers. Shops, bakery and restaurants in Larmor-Baden village, 200 m from the pontoons.
Ashore
Passage on foot to Île de Berder at low water along the tombolo, 300 m from the harbour, passable about two hours either side of low water. Coastal path GR 34 runs along the shore to Pointe du Blair 1.7 NM to the west. Cairn de Gavrinis, a neolithic passage tomb from around 4000 BC, is visited by boat from the jetty.
