Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Anse de Kerdelan between Île Longue and Île Berder. Strong tidal streams run through the gulf, with slack water around high and low tide. Mud bottom gives good holding. Shelter from NW through W to S; open to the E and NE.
Practical
No shore facilities at the anchorage itself. Water, fuel and provisioning at Larmor-Baden 0.9 NM NE or Port Lagaden 0.9 NM NE. Several private mooring buoys in the area, space to anchor clear of them.
Ashore
Larmor-Baden village has a bakery, grocery and restaurants within 15 minutes by tender. Boat trips from Larmor-Baden run to the Cairn of Gavrinis, a Neolithic passage tomb on the neighbouring island of Gavrinis dating to around 3500 BC.
