Approach and anchoring
Approach from the main Morbihan channel between the Île Berder and the Île de la Jument. Tidal stream runs up to 5 knots on springs at the pass of Berder, time the arrival around slack water. Watch for the algae patches marked on the SHOM chart between the sand pockets.
Practical
Forain anchorage on sand and algae, holding variable, check the set of the anchor. Shelter from E, SE and S winds. Kerners-Bilouris 0.4 NM SE and Larmor-Baden 1.2 NM NW provide the nearest refuges.
Ashore
Landing by dinghy at Larmor-Baden 1.2 NM NW, connecting path to the Site Naturel du Golfe. Passenger boats run from Larmor-Baden to the Île aux Moines and to the Cairn de Gavrinis, neolithic passage tomb dated around 3500 BC.
