Approach and anchoring
Open roadstead approached from the east. Bottom of sand with good holding. Sheltered from NW through N to W. Fully exposed to S and E swell. The tramontane blows strong from NW in winter and spring.
Practical
No facilities at the anchorage. Port-la-Nouvelle commercial and fishing harbour is 1.3 NM to the NW with fuel, water and shops. The Robine canal quay lies 1.5 NM to the NW.
Ashore
Long sand beach accessible by dinghy, backed by the Narbonnaise en Méditerranée regional natural park. The Étang de Bages-Sigean lagoon, a Ramsar wetland known for flamingos, starts 2 km inland.
