Approach and anchoring
Launch and retrieval handled by the port travel lift on the main basin of Port de Gruissan, 0.3 NM north-east of the dry stack. Maximum draught 1.35 m. Port de Gruissan marina and Cercle Nautique Barberousse at 0.4 NM west are the wet-berth refuges.
Practical
About 250 racked spaces for boats up to the travel lift capacity. Service is booking-based, boats lifted and rinsed on return. Fuel, chandlery, sanitary block and boatyard services available at the adjoining marina.
Ashore
Gruissan village with its round concentric layout around the Tour Barberousse, a 13th century keep, 1 km from the port. Plage des Chalets and its wooden stilt cabins 2 km east, featured in the 1986 Jean-Jacques Beineix film Betty Blue. Massif de la Clape regional nature park starts just west of the village.
