Shallow entrance through the Gapeau mouth, max draught 1.8 m. Approach in calm weather, avoid strong easterlies which pile swell across the bar. VHF 9 for the harbour office. Port de Pothuau lies 0.5 NM to the NE as a fallback, Port de Portland 0.3 NM to the NW.
