Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south between Île de Porquerolles and the mainland. Entrance by a dredged channel, two jetties marked by green and red lights, no tidal constraint. Shelter behind the outer breakwater from the mistral and from easterlies, some swell in the inner basin in strong SE. VHF 9 for the harbour office.
Practical
Around 400 berths at Port Maravenne, plus 400 berths at Port Miramar 200 m to the south. Water and electricity on all pontoons, fuel berth with diesel and petrol. Sanitary block with showers. Chandlery and boatyard with 30 t travel lift on site. Carrefour Market at 400 m, town centre of La Londe at 1.5 km.
Ashore
Beach of the Argentière accessible in 10 minutes on foot along the coastal path. Domaines de Maravenne and du Galoupet, both within 3 km, produce Côtes de Provence rosé and offer tasting. Ferry to Porquerolles from nearby Port Miramar, 35 minutes crossing in season.
Story
The Maures massif behind La Londe gave its name to the cork oak forests that supplied bottle corks to the Provençal wine trade through the 19th century.
