Approach and anchoring
Approach from the N through the Rade de Brest, then S into the Anse du Tinduff. Mud bottom with good holding once set. Shallow at low water of spring tides, the inner part dries. VHF 9.

Ashore
Tinduff oyster hatchery produces spat for the Brittany oyster farms and can be seen from the quay. Sentier côtier follows the Rade de Brest towards the Pointe de l'Armorique. Plougastel-Daoulas town 4 km by road, known for its strawberries and calvary carved 1602 to 1604.
History
The Rade de Brest has been France's principal Atlantic naval base since Richelieu ordered the arsenal built in 1631, and the Tinduff area sheltered fishing and oyster boats of the Plougastel peninsula.
