Approach and anchoring
Approach through a marked channel from the Fier d'Ars, the northern bay of the Île de Ré. Maximum draught 1 m. The port dries at low water. VHF 9. Enter within 2 hours either side of high water. Refuges: Port De Goisil 0.8 NM southeast, Ars-en-Ré Bassin de la Criée 2.9 NM west.
Practical
50 berths on pontoons in a drying basin. Village of Loix-en-Ré 500 m inland with bakery and grocery.
Ashore
Salt marshes of the Fier d'Ars with active salt production and ornithological reserve. Écomusée du Marais Salant at the edge of Loix, open seasonally. Cycle path network of the Île de Ré passes through the village.
