Approach and anchoring
Approach from the SW keeping clear of the rocky point. Rock bottom, holding uncertain, snorkel the anchor if possible. Shelter from N and E winds, exposed to the long SW swell of the Bay of Biscay.
Practical
Day anchorage only. Pornichet marina 0.3 NM NW has 1 150 berths, fuel, water and full services. La Baule - Le Pouliguen 3.6 NM W offers the lock-controlled basin of Le Pouliguen.
Ashore
Sandy beach of La Baule starts 300 m from the point and runs 8 km west. Pornichet town centre and train station are 800 m from the marina, with a direct TER line to Nantes and Le Croisic.
