Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from seaward in the Iroise. Sand bottom with good holding in settled weather. Protected from N, NE and NW, fully exposed to W and SW swell typical of the Iroise. Leave in any forecast onshore wind. Beware of tidal streams off the Pointe de Saint-Mathieu to the west.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Le Conquet harbour at 3.5 nm to the W provides fuel at the quai du Drellach and a capitainerie. Camaret-sur-Mer marina at 5.7 nm to the SE.
Ashore
Beach landing possible by dinghy in calm conditions. The GR34 coastal path climbs the cliffs above. Parc naturel marin d'Iroise covers the waters around the mooring.
