Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the Goulet de Brest, staying clear of the Pointe du Petit Minou and its lighthouse to the east. Sand patches with rock, so drop on visible sand and check the set. Open to the south and south-east across the Goulet, where wind against tide kicks up a short chop. Fresh water tap ashore near the beach.
Practical
Day anchorage, no services afloat. Lifeguarded beach in summer. Le Conquet 3.8 NM west and Camaret-sur-Mer 5.5 NM south-east offer full shelter if the wind shifts south.
Ashore
GR34 sentier des douaniers runs along the cliffs above the beach, west toward the Pointe du Petit Minou lighthouse and east toward Trégana. Bar-restaurant at the beach in season. Bus line to Brest from the car park.
