Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south in daylight. Sand holding throughout the bay, good grip for the anchor. Sheltered from W and NW winds off the island, exposed to NE, E, S and SE. Leave before an easterly builds.
Practical
No services at the beach. Porquerolles village harbour 0.8 NM south-west has water, limited berths and shops. Port Auguier lies 3.3 NM west on the mainland at Giens.
Ashore
Plage de Lequin is inside the Parc national de Port-Cros, which covers Porquerolles and its surrounding waters. Anchoring rules restrict posidonia seagrass damage, and mooring buoys are laid in summer for boats under a set length. Coastal path to the village in about 25 minutes on foot.
