Approach and anchoring

Approach from the N or S along the Iroise coast, watching the strong tidal streams of the Four channel. Sand seabed. Shelter from N, NE and E; exposed to the W and SW swell coming in from the Atlantic. The Pointe de Corsen marks the official boundary between Channel and Atlantic.

Practical

Mouillage forain, no services. Le Conquet 3 nm to the S and L'Aber Ildut 3.9 nm to the NE are the closest harbours of refuge.

Ashore

Pointe de Corsen, westernmost tip of metropolitan mainland France, with the CROSS Corsen maritime rescue coordination centre on the cliff above. The GR34 coastal path runs along the headland with views over the Molene archipelago and Ushant.
