Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the SE out of L'Aber Ildut, 0.9 nm away, or from the NW along the south side of Île Meulon. The Chenal du Four runs just west of the position and carries heavy tidal streams of up to 5 knots at springs, so time the passage on slack water. Drying rocks to the W of the anchorage must be given a wide berth.
Practical
No services at the mouillage. L'Aber Ildut harbour 0.9 nm SE has water, diesel on the visitor pontoon, and a small yard. The mooring Au Petit Sud de l'Île Meulon lies only 0.3 nm NW as an alternative spot.
Ashore
L'Aber Ildut village on the south bank has a bakery, a small supermarket and a few restaurants serving the local lobster, landed daily at the quay. The GR34 coastal path runs along both banks of the aber and leads north to the Phare du Four viewpoint in about 3 km.
