Approach and anchoring
Shallow approach typical of the basin, mud bottom. Check tide tables: the area dries at low water springs and access is only practical around high water. Sheltered from N, NE and E; exposed to the SW fetch across the basin. Use the marked channel serving the Club Nautique Taussat-Cassy 0.6 nm to the NW.
Practical
Water available on the mooring field. Village of Cassy 200 m to the NE with bakery, grocery and restaurants. Ramp and club facilities at Taussat-Cassy nautical club.
Ashore
Cassy beach is part of the north shore bathing beaches of the basin, family use with lifeguards in season. Véloroute du Bassin cycle path passes through the village, linking Audenge to Andernos. Oyster port of Cassy, on the same shore, ships local oysters of the Bassin d'Arcachon AOC zone.
