Approach and anchoring
Approach through the buoyed channels of the Bassin d'Arcachon, which shift with sand movement. Large areas dry at low water springs. Enter on a rising tide. Strong tidal streams in the main chenaux.
Practical
About 40 berths, mainly for shallow-draught local boats. Drying pontoons. No fuel berth. Fontainevieille marina 0.5 nm to the north-west and Cassy harbour 0.7 nm to the south-east for extra services.
Ashore
Oyster shacks open in season along the Port de Taussat quay for tasting local Arcachon oysters. Sentier du littoral passes behind the harbour. Sand beach of Taussat at the foot of the village, directly east of the club.
